About me

B orn and raised in Remscheid, I found my entry into the world of dance at the age of 3 in a municipal ballet school. Starting with the early dance education to the classical ballet I regularly and gladly stood on stage from then on. My lessons and also my styles expanded over the years from dancing on pointe, jazz dance and modern dance to Irish dancing, where I successfully participated in various national and international competitions.
With the beginning of my 3.5 year professional training as a dance teacher at the school for stage dance and dance pedagogy Pergel Ernst, I not only trained my technique, but expanded my repertoire, both in classical ballet and modern dance, as well as in other styles and successfully graduated in 2014.
While still in training, I became the dancing instructor in a local musical production and developed various choreographies for the productions.
Since 2012 I have been working as a freelance dance teacher for various dance schools, where I choreograph performances and shows in addition to my daily classes.
I enjoy teaching students from small to large. Whether it is the 3-4 year olds who are taking their first steps in classical ballet, to adults who want to dedicate their body to schools in order to stay fit.
I am pleased that some of my students successfully and with dedication participate in various competitions in stage dance and also former students have already found their way into professional dance training.

Classes and styles

Based on elements of classical ballet, children are introduced to dance in a playful way. They develop imagination and discover a sense of body. In addition, the children gain joy in movement and dance. They learn to concentrate, develop musicality, and listen more carefully. Attending early dance education serves as preparation for later learning of other types of dance such as classical ballet or other dance styles and forms a good and solid base.

Lightness and elegance, pirouettes and jumps - attributes of classical ballet.
The condition is a strong body control, which is learned in ballet classes. In the beginner's classes, we first work on the correct posture - a basic requirement for a clean dance technique.
The lessons according to the "Waganowa Methodology" - adapted to the amateur level, allow for age-appropriate, pedagogical and goal-oriented work and are therefore suitable not only for children, but also for adults who want to individually improve their posture and body control.

Modern dance works from the center of the body. This style lives from the contradictions: Tension and relaxation, jumps and earthy floor movements - and therefore provides a harmonious experience of one's own body and approaching the limits of one's own movement abilities.
Based on classical and modern technique (Graham, Limón & Horton among others) in combination with contemporary and lyrical style elements, the class offers a variety of movement and expression.

Dancing on pointe is a branch of classical ballet and requires prior intensive training and a lot of discipline.
From the age of 12, under certain conditions, children have the opportunity to learn dancing on pointe in addition to classical ballet classes.
From strengthening exercises on the ballet barre to pointe dancing in open space, the lessons are designed to suit the body & performance, so that each student has the opportunity to work individually on their skills.

Additionals

additional offers to the regular classes

In private lessons my students have the opportunity to improve their technique individually. Through more intensive and concentrated work, their own skills can be improved in a targeted manner. In addition to the technique training, there is the possibility to learn individual choreographies corresponding to the style.
Also for adults and beginners, who want a training tailored to them, the work in individual lessons is a possibility.

Preparation for entrance exams is essential for any dancer who aspires to a professional career in dance. Through basic and specific technique training, dancers are prepared for the demands of professional training and colleges in addition to their regular training.
